2025 Lieutenant Governor’s Heritage Awards

We are pleased to announce that the 2025 Lieutenant Governor’s Heritage Awards will take place at Government House in Regina on June 18th, 2025. Her Honour Bernadette McIntyre our Honourary Patron,  will present the Awards. Read and download the full announcement.

Submitting

To see how the Jury will make their decision and what they will consider we highly recommend reading the Jury Sheets linked below.

Email submissions info [at] heritagesask.ca with the subject line “Awards 2025 – [name of project]” on or before April 30th. Attach the filled-in submission form and any related materials (either directly or with a link) for the Jury.

Categories

Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage

This Award is based on the “Four Goals for Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage” found in the 2003 UNESCO Convention on Intangible Cultural Heritage. ICH should encompass as many goals as possible as the goals work in tandem to create a robust and resilient safeguarding program or project.

Conservation of Heritage Places

Heritage conservation is about  managing change in places. We encourage all types of projects to apply, from small to large. This Award aims to show off the exemplary heritage conservation projects in communities across the province.
