Survey: making the economic case for heritage

Heritage Saskatchewan and the Museums Association of Saskatchewan are seeking to determine the economic impact of the heritage sector in the province. We have identified the architectural/contractor and tourism sectors as major drivers of heritage focused economic impacts, and your organization is a part of that. Measuring this impact positions us to advocate for increased support for the heritage sector.

Those of us in the sector know the importance of heritage to the economic well-being of communities around Saskatchewan and now we need to communicate that value to those outside the sector, including funders and policy makers. With additional resources we can advocate for policy that will create more jobs through heritage business activity and help the provincial economy grow.

A survey was sent out to our known contacts in these sectors on November 29th, 2024. If you did not receive the survey, and are part of the tourism or engineering, architecture or contractor sectors and think you have something to contribute please reach out to us and we can send you the link!
