Glenn Sutter, Ph. D., Research Scientist - Curator of Human Ecology with the Royal Saskatchewan Museum gave a presentation about the role of ecomuseums in sustainability education at the Heritage Saskatchewan Forum held in Saskatoon in February of this year. Glenn’s work in this area continues, with a plan to have a provincial ecomuseum workshop in the fall (updates will be shared as they become available). Plans are also underway for a section about ecomuseums on the Royal Saskatchewan website, which is currently being updated. There is interest and some work being done on specific sites, including: Roche Percee, the Craik area, and the area around Val Marie. Glenn recently gave a presentation at the South West Museums Network meeting in Val Marie as part of the Prairie Wind and Silver Sage Annual General Meeting. Visit
