Provincial Centennial Commemoration of the start of the First World War
The event held on August 4 at the Saskatchewan Legislature was a sombre celebration of the call to serve King and Country in 1914. The youth participating in the Provincial Heritage Fairs who had chosen to honour those brave Canadians were invited to share their research and displays. They were warmly thanked by the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, veterans, dignitaries and the visiting public for keeping the sacrifices alive.
