Positive Momentum in Heritage Amid a World in Flux

The Covid-19 pandemic caused much of the world around us to change. Organizations have had to revaluate the way they work and how to deliver programming, and Heritage Saskatchewan is no exception. Through our publication, Covid-19 Culture: A Living Heritage Project of the Pandemic in Saskatchewan, one could see that culture and heritage are important aspects of wellbeing. When times are tough, it keeps us afloat. It reinforced that even through a pandemic, our work in research and community is important – perhaps more important than ever.

In response to this, the Heritage Saskatchewan team has been working hard evolving our programming and making changes to accommodate a world in flux. We have hired two summer students, Ethan Done and Logan Thienes, to expand our Heritage Fairs program and reimagine our Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan Heritage Awards program. Throughout the summer, we will be announcing details around these exciting new changes. Stay tuned! We can't wait to share all the details with you.
