Heritage Saskatchewan Out and About

Feb 6, 2013

It was a great time for networking in Saskatoon February 3-6. The Heritage Fair was held at the Western Development Museum and the SUMA (SK Urban Municipalities Assoc) brought cities together. This was the 25th Annual Saskatoon Heritage Fair and SUMA's 108th convention! A record in itself. Heritage Saskatchewan set up a booth in the trade show areas and enjoyed the valuable sessions and presentations. At SUMA, the chance to mingle with so many delegates from cities across every region in our province is the opportunity to see Saskatchewan up close. Our shared heritage, work ethic and optimism makes for an exciting gathering. Besides the exchange of ideas, Heritage Saskatchewan distributed 600 information packages which contained our 2013 Forum brochures, membership brochures and 'Quality of Life' bookmarks. Branded key rings with LED lights were sought-after goodies. We had a prize draw at our booth at SUMA where we gave away 10 books (1 book per winner). Each book was about Saskatchewan, and the books were all published in Saskatchewan. The happy winners were delegates from North Battleford, Kendal, Watrous, Chamberlain, Melfort, Blaine Lake, Kamsack, Saltcoats, Kerrobert and Kipling. It was our pleasure to meet so many of our citizens and to make our presence felt. To visit with Saskatchewan neighbours is at the very heart of our shared heritage.
