Federal Government invests in Saskatchewan events and festivals

Festivals in Saskatchewan that promote tourism and local culture got a boost from the Government of Canada and the Canada Arts Presentation Fund. The following were recipients:
- Northern Lights Bluegrass and Old Tyme Music Society - visit Northern Lights website for details
- Regina Folk Festival - visit Regina Folk Festival website for details
- Other Saskatchewan events and organizations that received funding were:
- Saskatchewan Festival of Words Moose Jaw;
- Gustin/Trounce Heritage Committee;
- Northern Saskatchewan International Children’s Festival; and
- 25th Street Theatre Centre in Saskatoon; and
- 100th Anniversary celebrations of the town of Norquay through the Building Communities through Arts and Heritage Fund.
