Sep 23, 2014Congratulations WDM on 40 years of Teaching Saskatchewan Youth
The Western Development Museum Saskatoon held its first Grade 4 Harvest Demonstration in May 1975. The program was the culmination of many months of planning by the WDM and the Saskatoon Public School Board. Students were learning about early Saskatchewan but could not relate to the stories of pioneer life. The WDM had the equipment and knowledge to share this story with students. The program proved to be a great success.
The September 2014 program will mark the 40th year that the Saskatoon WDM has presented the Harvest Demonstration to Grade 4 students from around Saskatchewan. Nearly 100,000 Grade 4 students from Saskatchewan have attended the program since
