Collaborative Effort makes for a Vibrant Living Heritage

Jun 15, 2015

Five partners have joined together to produce, promote and present History Alive! Vignettes that will be performed in Regina at Government House and the Saskatchewan Legislative Building this summer. The partners include Government of Saskatchewan’s Provincial Capital Commission, Government House and the Saskatchewan Legislative Assembly - Visitor Services, along with Reality Check Productions and Heritage Saskatchewan. The History Alive! Vignettes are short, live skits which reimagine life at Government House from 1898-1910 and the Saskatchewan Legislature from 1911-1912, depicting important historical moments that unfolded during the making of our Province. The vignettes will take place July 5th to August 18th, from 1 to 4 pm, at Government House on Sundays and Tuesdays and at the Legislative Building on Mondays. These historical productions will be presented in both official languages. They are each about thirty minutes in length, and will be enjoyed by visitors of all ages.
