American magazine selects Regina's The Crescents as one of the best old-house neighbourhoods

REGINA — The Crescents neighborhood in Regina has been selected as one of
This Old House's Best Old-House Neighborhoods for 2011.
This Old House is an American home-improvement magazine and television series, aired on public broadcast network PBS, that follows remodeling projects of houses over a number of weeks.
The magazine reaches an audience of six million people, noted senior contributor Eric Hagerman, who worked on the Best Old-House Neighbourhoods project.
"The magazine is all about helping people fix up their old houses," he said. "We do this annual story every year where we find the best old-house neighbourhoods."
It's the fourth year
This Old House has done such a project. Previous years have included Ontario, but this is the first year all of Canada has been included, Hagerman said.
"It seems only fitting, since you guys are our neighbours and we have a lot of same cultural traditions," he said. "The response has been really great. It was really fun for us to explore Canada and try to find these places."
