On January 30 2019, A  New Five-Year Lottery Agreement was signed, providing funds for sport culture and recreation. The Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust for Sport Culture and Recreation has been in place since 1974, and is a unique model in Canada, where the distribution of lottery proceeds is handled by non-profit organizations, including SaskSport Inc., SaskCulture Inc., and the Saskatchewan Parks & Recreation Association Inc.  In other provinces, lottery proceeds are distrubted directly by government.
