Big Bert Travelling Exhibit Opening at Saskatoon WDM

Bert, on loan from the Royal Saskatchewan Museum, will remain on display through April 2015. This fossil is the world’s most complete Terminonaris robusta crocodile skeleton measuring approximately 5.6 m (19 feet) long; its skull alone more than 1 m long.

The Diefenbaker Canada Centre is currently hosting an exhibit from the Canadian Museum of History and the Canadian Museum of Nature. ‘Expedition: Arctic’ revisits the triumphs and tragedies of the Canadian Arctic Expedition of 1913–1918, which claimed the lives of 17 men—most lost to exposure, mishap or starvation—but which also added immensely to our understanding of Canada’s Western Arctic and the cultures of its First Peoples.

WDM Supports Military Heritage Project

The Stories of Courage: Saskatchewan Second World War Veterans Remember video series features interviews with 17 Saskatchewan veterans.  The WDM is pleased to share these videos in our Winning The Prairie Gamble Theatres in Moose Jaw, North Battleford and Yorkton.  The video series will play in the theatres until November 30 and then again starting January 2, 2015 giving Museum visitors the opportunity to hear the veteran’s stories.
